Our client is an established pharmaceutical manufacturer and commercial company in Indonesia, part of an international pharmaceutical group. The company manufactures and commercializes medicines across therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiometabolic, neuropsychiatry, antibiotics, and anti-retroviral.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to grow sales and product availability across hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, and other healthcare channels within the assigned territory. You will lead the area sales team and report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

Achieve area sales, market-coverage, product-availability, and commercial targets.
Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmacies, distributors, and key accounts.
Monitor sales results, stock availability, market trends, competitor activity, and area opportunities.
Lead, coach, and develop Sales Supervisors, Medical Representatives, and field-sales teams.
Prepare sales forecasts, area plans, performance reports, and budget updates.
Ensure field activities and product communication follow company policies and applicable requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience leading a sales team or managing a territory.
Proven track record of achieving sales and market-coverage targets.
Experience working with hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, or other healthcare channels.
Strong negotiation, coaching, planning, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
