About the role

This role involves leading procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the supply chain remains uninterrupted. Candidates should have a strong background in purchasing within the textile industry. Hiring immediately, salary best in Industry.

Key responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for primary/secondary backing, yarn, latex, dyes, and related raw materials
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with international suppliers
Manage import logistics including shipping schedules, documentation, customs clearance, and Incoterms
Monitor global raw material market trends and pricing to inform purchasing strategy
Maintain optimal inventory levels balancing cost efficiency with production continuity
Verify incoming raw material quality against production specifications
Coordinate with production, planning, and finance on material forecasting and budgets
Identify alternative sourcing options and cost-saving opportunities

Requirements

5-8 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the carpet, rug, or textile/flooring industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering or MBA
Proven experience purchasing carpet-specific raw materials (primary/secondary backing, yarn, latex, etc.)
Strong understanding of import processes, Incoterms, and international trade documentation
Established supplier network in key raw material sourcing markets is a strong advantage
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Based in or willing to relocate to Jakarta
Strong analytical skills for cost and market trend analysis
