About the role

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a cluster of pharmacy outlets within the assigned area. You will be responsible for commercial performance, customer-service quality, medicine and product availability, operational compliance, and the development of high-performing outlet teams. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

Achieve area targets for sales, gross margin, customer experience, and outlet productivity.
Review outlet performance regularly and implement improvement plans for underperforming outlets.
Maintain medicine and health-product availability, and monitor stock accuracy, expiry, stock variance, damaged goods, and returns.
Monitor compliance with company procedures and applicable pharmacy requirements, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
Coach and develop Outlet Managers, Pharmacists in Charge, Pharmacy Technicians, and outlet operational teams.
Coordinate with HR and Outlet Managers to recruit, train, schedule, and retain capable outlet teams.
Control area operating costs and ensure outlet activities remain within approved budgets.
Prepare area performance reports, forecasts, improvement plans, and operational updates for management.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmacy retail, healthcare retail, hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution, or multi-outlet operations.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading multiple outlets, branches, clusters, or field-based operational teams.
Proven record of delivering sales, gross-margin, stock, service-level, productivity, and operating-cost targets.
Sound knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory control, expiry management, stock replenishment, and outlet-performance management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with POS, ERP, inventory, or business-reporting systems.
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
Holds a valid SIM A and is willing to travel regularly within the assigned area.
