About the role

The candidate will support the Sustainability Supervisor to work with employees, joint venture partners, customers, and stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor ESG strategies. You will help enhance overall sustainability performance for Nickel Industries’ nickel refinery facilities, especially the Excelsior Nickel Cobalt (ENC) project, and support the RKEF operations in general

Key responsibilities

Support ESG improvement in industrial processes.
Implement and monitor environmental compliance, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and community development programs.
Manage ESG data for HNI, RNI, ONI, ANI, and ENC for corporate disclosures (annual report, sustainability report, modern slavery statement, etc.).
Assist in translating documents from Mandarin to Bahasa Indonesia or English as needed.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemistry.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of cumulative working experience in remote areas with roster arrangements; fresh graduates are welcome to apply; internship or working experience in remote areas with roster arrangements.
Personal Traits & Age: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders; self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development; Age: 21 – 30 years old.
Certifications & Technical Skills: Training in greenhouse gas calculation, mitigation, audit, and reporting; TOEFL score minimum 450; Awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 training; Valid driving license; Strong analytical, project management, Microsoft Office skills, and proficiency in sustainability software/tools.
Additional Preferences: Experience in community development projects, NGO activities, or organizing environmental/sustainability programs is a plus.
