About the role

The IT Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into clear system and functional specifications, and support the successful delivery of IT projects.

Key responsibilities

Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, document, and prioritize business requirements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, system requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution recommendations.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including BRDs, FSDs, use cases, process maps, and related SDLC documents.
Collaborate with business users, developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Plan and coordinate UAT by preparing test scenarios and test cases, supporting users, validating results, and clarifying issues.
Identify process gaps, recommend workflow improvements, and maintain documentation, version control, and requirement traceability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
Strong understanding of SDLC, requirements gathering, and Agile/Scrum practices
Ability to prepare BRDs, FSDs, UAT plans, test cases, and process-flow documentation
Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, Jira, Confluence, or prototyping tools is an advantage
CBAP or equivalent certification (preferred) | Willing to be based in Jakarta.
